Summer Gold

Summer Gold is a short upright growing Japanese maple. It will grow a bit on the bushy side. It leafs out golden yellow with occasional pink tinges in the spring. Then, unlike most other yellow varieties, continues its golden yellow color getting deeper as the summer progresses. Then changing to oranges and reds in the fall. One of the best qualities of Summer Gold, is it’s tolerance to heat. It can withstand full sun and doesn’t mind humidity. 

All our Summer Gold  will arrive potted and will be at least 24”  tall

•Zone 5-9 (more shade required the higher the zone)

• In general, we recommend all-day dappled shade or full afternoon shade for most Japanese Maples.

• Mature height can reach 10’
